Thank you for your interest, Our fish sales are presently closed; all last years fish have been sold and this years spawnings are being grown on. Some sample fish from last year are shown below so that you may see what we can offer later in the year. If you require any more details or wish to reserve fish then Fish Fone or e-mail.
All our fish are home bred Goldfish of superb quality.
The picture shows an idividual Extra Fine Bristol Shubunkin from last year, this year''s quality is at least as good.
Please remember that quantities available at this quality are always quite limited.
The Goldfish are graded acording to the following criteria:
Grade P.S. - Pet shop quality. A healthy and robust goldfish ( for the purpose of classification we fix the image of a perfect pet shop in our minds - few pet shops actually sell really healthy and robust Goldfish).
Grade B - Well grown, healthy and robust, with at least good body, finnage and colour. The fish will be recognisable as of it''s variety but may not be suitable for showing though will make an excellent tank or pond fish..
Grade A - Well grown, healthy and robust, with at least good body, finnage and colour. The fish will be recognisable as of it''s variety, will pass the Nationwide Standards Type Test and will be suitable for showing.
Grade AA - Well grown, healthy and robust, with at least good body, finnage and colour and achieving very good in at least one of these areas. The fish will be recognisable as of it''s variety, will pass the Nationwide Standards Type Test and will be suitable for showing.
Grade Fine - Well grown, healthy and robust, with at least very good body, finnage and colour and achieving excellent in at least one of these areas. The fish will be recognisable as of it''s variety, will pass the Nationwide Standards Type Test and will be suitable for showing.
Grade Extra Fine - The very best.
