Make Over.
Your Aquarium should be an attractive feature of your home and a healthy and happy place for your pet fish to live. If it isn't something is wrong - perhaps you need professional help. We can come to your home and, with a minimum of fuss, solve your problems by creating a healthy and attractive system within your tank and a beautiful sparkling addition to your home.
Makeover fees: these depend largely on what needs to be done a simple run-down tank starts at £55.00* anything beyond his will be quoted individually.
Maintenance.
Keep your tank a sparkling and beautiful feature of your home and a healthy place for your pet fish with a regular maintenance visit. Every tank is individual and their needs may differ slightly but most tanks can be kept in good order with a visit every two weeks or a visit every four weeks. From £55.00.
Maintenance fees: Very large tanks or those with special requirements, or needing a long journey to reach may be subject to a supplement.
FRESHWATER TANKS.
A standard service will consist of: siphon out water along with detritus from gravel to 10 - 25% of tank volume; replace siphoned water with fresh conditioned water heated to correct temperature, at correct pH and hardness and treated to remove chlorine, chloramine and metal salts: removal of algae from inside front glass; check and clean mechanical and biological filters ensuring the essential biological function of the nitrogen cycle is effective; check all other equipment for function and adjust as neccesary; check fish for health and condition and medicate if necessary; check any plants for condition, trim, rearrange and feed as necessary; ensure aquascaping is at its most advantageous and adjust if needed; test water for ammonia, nitrate, nitrite, temperature and pH values and adjust as needed; feed supplemental food and advice on any action needed to be taken.
MARINE TANKS
While we can assist with marine tanks as a general rule marine ( seawater ) systems need a much more constant level of attention this limits the range of species that can be kept, though there are many beautiful and interesting creatures in this range.

Assistance with relocating tanks and moving house. Please note that the focus of this service is the welfare of the fish, sorry we are not set up as a 'heavy haulage' service and can not therefore move very large or heavy tanks.

*Aquarium Home Services is based in south Manchester / North Cheshire, the prices on this page refer to work undertaken in this area. There will be a supplement, based on mileage / time taken travelling payable in all other areas, please phone for details. The fees stated cover all equipment and consumables used in the servicing, should any equipment fitted to the aquarium be found to have failed or be unsuitable this may be replaced at cost.
